Friday, June 4, 2021: Prepped for Summer

Last night, I noticed the fan hanging on the wall in Resident Services/town hall. I used my camera to take a look at all the things they had back there. I'm also realizing as I type this, the building's layout is quite similar to Wild World and City Folk's town hall, just with the recycle bin and ATM machine flipped! Wow; I never noticed before or saw it pointed out anywhere, but what a neat reference! You can see that here; or just go back to my Resident Services building post. I did pick up some birch flooring from the recycling - a sucker for these wooden designs in any game!

I also visited this Dream Island called "M Island" that was very nice! I started becoming obsessed with zooming in with the in-game camera, and then zooming in via the Switch's HOME button option I first saw DGR do for Mario Maker 2 videos last year, so I could look in detail at some of the objects. I also liked seeing some of the new wedding items I probably won't end up getting for myself. Did some hop-scotch as well! How cute - it's always fun to see them on the sidewalks in real-life, and now there's one in Animal Crossing! And Bluebear, from a Wild World series I watched from the late 2000s - can't remember the name of the person who uploaded them, but they were pretty funny!

Anyways! This morning in the mail Mom sent me a message about standing around at night, watching the fireflies... and being bitten by mosquitoes. The hardships of evening walks!

Bam gave me a track jacket; and it was curious he said he had no need for it! I thought he'd be all over it since he's into fitness!

At Nook's Cranny, I noticed they had a summertime fan for sale. I do like the attention to seasonal items in this game! They also had a big fancy computer server as well - 100k Bells! Yikes!

And just like in the winter, I noticed they had some summertime vibes going on around and outside their store. Surf's up, dudes! In all fairness, sometime I'm hoping to have a fun summer party, and will certainly enjoy the in-game summertime vibes!

I also noticed something on the crafting menu I hadn't before: On the right side of the screen, right in-between the item name and thee materials needed to craft it, it lists the item size, but also if you have it, and where in the game it is between your pockets and storage! What a really helpful detail I wish I had noticed way earlier! I guess there are plenty of things left for me to discover about the game.

Hope you have a wonderful rest of your day! And check out the 2006 Animal Crossing movie if you get the chance; I'm watching it tonight with some friends (online), and it's honestly very cute and faithful to the entire Animal Crossing series! Orchestral Animal Crossing music before it appeared in-game in New Horizons, something I was definitely looking forward to about the Switch game and comparing it to; some of the big event tracks do live up to that hype I feel!

In fact, here's a video of upbeat and motivational Animal Crossing music that I'll share, including a few tracks from New Horizons! And here's a playlist of the Animal Crossing movie soundtrack. Hey, I'm a musician and an Animal Crossing fan! That'll come to fruition with my big channel announcement tomorrow...

Anyways - rambling and procrastinating now. See you tomorrow probably for another post - definitely check out my YouTube channel tomorrow... :)
