11 Mar 1865- Tenders are requested for the building of a Police Station at Cleckheaton. There is nothing after this to suggest an official opening but perhaps coincided with the opening of the "new" Fire Station in 1867? The building was located at York Place at its junction with Whitcliffe Road and remained as the Police Station for many years to come..
