19 May 1849 - Newspaper Article - Dewsbury District "Star of Providence" Lodge was opened at the house of Jos. Fox, the Duke William Inn, Heckmondwike.
13 Jun 1850 - Court Case - An action was brought at Dewsbury Court House by Josh. Fox, of the Duke William Inn, Heckmondwike for the recovery of 8s, for ale and refreshments supplied by him to William Hargreaves and assistants, who were engaged in quenching a fire which took place in Heckmondwike last August. Verdict was for the plaintiff.
