23 Aug 1869 - Brewster Sessions - Annual session for the granting and renewal of licences was held at Dewsbury. It being the first session in which the new Wine and Beer Act was put in force. The licence for Timothy Brearley of the Three Horse Shoes, Queen Street was granted without any objection.
23 Sep 1870 - Court Case - Timothy Brearley, landlord of the Three Horse Shoes, Heckmondwike was charged with permitting drunkenness in his house on the 17th. The court said a very bad case arising from this beerhouse had been heard last Monday. Fined 10s and costs.
