The 1851 Census was taken on the night of 30 March 1851 and was a little different to the Census of 1841 in that we now see the addition of relationships, ages (although don't always believe them as plenty of white lies were told!), the condition of the person in question (Married, single, widow etc.), their place of birth and finally a further column to identify if the subject was either blind or deaf and dumb. Each household was also given what is called a "schedule number" which is just a consecutive number given by the Enumerator and should not be confused with any house numbers in the address.
