30 Mar 1809 - Property Auction - Held at the Star Inn, house of Thomas Sheard regarding numerous houses and land in Roberttown.

1812 - Book Article - Frank Peel mentions in his book Spen Valley Past & Present about the attack on Rawfolds Mill by Luddites. Some of the injured were taken to the Star, house of Tommy Sheard.
