1805 - Newspaper Article - Regarding life in Heckmondwike during 1805 states that the Woolpack Inn, at this time, was run by William Firth, who appears in the Alehouse Register of 1803.
1812 - Book Article - Frank Peel mentions in his Spen Valley Past & Present book about the Luddites attack at Cartwright's Mill at Rawfolds. Soldiers were billeted at various public houses of the district including the Woolpack.
