Located on what is now the main Halifax Road, or previously the Wakefield to Halifax turnpike. Exact location not yet known, but believed to be in the area somewhere opposite Haigh House, and very close to, if not adjacent to the Post Office as indicated on the map below:
23 Aug 1869 - Brewster Sessions - Annual session for the granting and renewal of licences was held at Dewsbury. It being the first session in which the new Wine and Beer Act was put in force. The licence for George Brook of the Foresters' Arms Inn, Hightown was granted without any objection.

30 Dec 1872 - Found Dog! - Advert in local paper stating a terrier bitch had been found and to apply to James Stables of the Foresters Arms, Hightown.
