The Trouble with Physics

Lee Smolins colleague Peter Woit published in 2006 the book "Not Even Wrong" where he refuses the entire String theory. PhysicsWorld recently wrote about the podcast "Still not even wrong" .

Quanta Magazine reported in December 2015 from a discussion in Munich "A Fight for the Soul of Science".

In November 1993 Silvan Schweber published "Physics, Community and the Crisis in Physical Theory" in Physics Today.

BTW, as theoretical physicists still insist on publishing on paper, there should be no surprise that their field is stagnating, or even in a deep crisis.

This is excerpts from the excellent book "The Trouble with Physics" by the theoretical physicist Lee Smolin. In lack of a digital edition, it is simply written by hand directly from the printed book as a way of trying to understand the content (in my experience, writing provides a better understanding than reading).
