The great Way indeed flows like water —

sometimes left, sometimes right.

It succeeds in its tasks without making a name for itself.

It enfolds and nourishes all things and claim no dominion.

Ever ambitionless, it could be called "small".

But it is the home to which everything returns.

Thus, even claiming no dominion, it is called "Great".

Never acting as a great one, greatness is realized.
