select none and hide the Rect Back template layer.
now use your magic wand tool to select the frame on the Rect Frame layer.
add a new raster layer above the Rect Frame layer.
use this color: #092f9b to fill in the selection on the new raster layer.
select none and hide the Rect Frame layer.
on the new blue frame, add noise with the following settings:
Gaussian - checked
noise - 50%
Monochrome - checked
now add a new raster layer below the snowflakes layer.
use the previous gradient settings to flood fill the layer.
now use your magic wand tool to select the area outside the snowflakes.

merge down the snowflake layer with the gradient layer.
open paper5 from the kit and copy.
on the circle layer, select all/float/defloat.
now add a new raster layer above the circle layer.
paste into selection on the new raster layer.
select none and hide the circle template layer.
open the circlecrumpleframe and resize by 75%.
copy and paste (C/P) it as a new layer above the paper5 circle.
open the curtain element and resize by 80%.
pull it slightly to the right of the frame.
duplicate the curtain and mirror it.
merge down the duplicate.
add a drop shadow of your choice.
now duplicate the merged curtains.
drag the duplicate below the frame.
using your rectangle selection tool (with 0 feather), make the following selection:
hit delete on the bottom curtain layer.
invert your selection and hit delete on the top curtain layer.
select none.
now use your magic wand tool to select the area outside the circle on the circle layer.
hit delete on the top curtain layer to get rid of any excess portion of the curtain.
select none.
now open the snowman element and resize by 80%.
C/P it as a new layer above the curtain layer.
now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.
don't forget to add artist credit and license info.
when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.
paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.
invert selection and crop to selection.
that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
thanks for trying my tutorial! =)
