Tutorial done in PSPX2.

Must having some working knowledge of the program.

with everything open and ready to go, let's get started.

open a new image with transparent background at 750px by 650px.

open paper14 from the kit and copy.

add a new raster layer above the bottom layer and select all.

paste into selection on the new raster layer.

select none.

apply the mask at default settings.

right click on the mask layer to merge the mask group.

open the doubleframe from the kit and resize by 80%

copy and paste (C/P) it as a new layer above the mask.

add a new raster layer below the frame.

use your magic wand tool to select inside the top frame.

expand selection by 5.

open paper6 from the kit and copy.

paste into selection on the new raster layer.

select none.

repeat the last 5 steps (magic wand to select none) with

the bottom frame and paper5.

now open your tube and C/P as a new layer at 100%.

place it over the bottom frame.

add a drop shadow.

duplicate the tube and pull the copy below the frame layer.

use your rectangle selection tool to make the following selection:

hit delete on the top tube layer.

invert selection and hit delete on the bottom tube layer.

select none.

now use your magic wand tool to select the area outside the doubleframe.

expand by 5 and hit delete on the bottom tube layer.

select none.

now open your tube again, C/P it as a new layer above the paper5 & 6 layer at 100%.

mirror the tube.

go up to effects > photo effects > black and white film.

apply it with brightness and clarify settings both at 0.

position the tube to your liking and add a drop shadow.

set the blend mode to overlay.

now use your magic wand tool to select the area outside the doubleframe.

expand selection by 5.

hit delete on the overlay tube.

select none.

now go to the very bottom layer and select all.

go to image > crop to selection.

this gets rid of any excess images/drop shadows outside the visible canvas.

now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.

don't forget to add artist credit and license info.

when you're all done, copy special > copy merged. 

paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag. 

invert selection and crop to selection. 

that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
