autumn beauty

Tutorial done in PSPX2.

open the template and delete my copyright layer.

add a new raster layer above the background layer and select all.

open paper3 from the kit and copy.

paste into selection on new raster layer in working canvas.

select none.

apply the mask at default settings.

right click on the mask layer to merge the mask group.

now add a new raster layer above the strips layer.

open paper1 from the kit and copy.

use your magic wand tool to click the area outside the strips and invert selection.

paste into selection on the new raster layer.

select none and hide the template strips layer.

now add a new raster layer above the large circle layer.

open paper5 from the kit and copy.

on the template, click on the large circle layer.

select all/float/defloat the large circle.

paste into selection on new raster layer.

select none and hide the large circle template layer.

repeat the steps with the following layers and papers:

large circle border - paper4

circles - paper7

frame back - paper1

frame - paper8

now open the tube and select the close up tube.

copy and paste (C/P) it at 100% as a new layer below the frame/paper8 layer.

position it to the first/left frame.

use your magic wand tool to select inside the first/left frame and expand by 3.

invert your selection and hit delete on the close up tube.

select none.

go down to the background layer and select all.

crop to selection.

now go back up to the close up tube and duplicate and mirror it.

merge down so they are one layer.

now go up to effects > photo effects > black and white film.

apply it to the close up tube.

now set the blend mode to overlay.

OPTIONAL

duplicate the overlay close up tube again to make it brighter.

leave the blend mode for both as overlay.

now open the full body tube and C/P it as a new layer on the top.

now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.

don't forget to add artist credit and license info.

when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.

paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.

invert selection and crop to selection.

that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
