pimp my swag

Tutorial done in PSPX2.

Must having some working knowledge of the program.

Pimp My Swag FTU kit by Designs By Vaybs.

Tube is by verymany, purchase HERE.

with all the files ready, let's get started.

open a new image with transparent background at 750px by 650px.

add a new raster layer above the background layer and select all.

open paper10 from the kit and copy.

paste into selection on the new raster layer.

select none.

now apply the mask at default settings.

right click on the mask layer to merge the mask group.

now open element57 (triple frame).

copy and paste (C/P) as a new layer on top.

now use your magic wand tool to select the area outside the frame.

expand selection by 7.

invert your selection.

now add a new raster layer below the frame.

open paper1 from the kit and copy.

pate into selection on the new raster layer.

select none.

now open the tube.

resize accordingly however I didn't resize mine.

C/P as a new layer below the frame.

pull the tube so it sits behind the left frame.

add a drop shadow here.

use your magic wand tool to select inside the frame.

expand selection by 7.

invert selection and hit delete on the tube.

repeat the step with the other two frames and tube.

again, you can resize the same tube or use different tubes.

once the tubes are done behind the frame, go down to the background layer.

select all and crop to selection.

this gets rid of any excess tube portions not visible on the canvas.

now open element37 (film strip) from the kit and resize by 80%.

C/P as a new layer on top.

free rotate to the right by 10.

refer to my tag for placement.

now use your magic wand to select the area outside the film strip.

expand selection by 4.

invert your selection.

add a new raster layer below the film strip.

open a paper of your choice and copy.

paste into selection on the new raster layer.

select none.

now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.

don't forget to add artist credit and license info.

when you're all done, copy special > copy merged. 

paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag. 

invert selection and crop to selection. 

that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
