with everything open and ready, let's get started.
open my template and delete my copyright layer.
open paper2 from the kit and copy.
add a new raster layer above the rounded rectangle template layer.
on the rounded rectangle template layer, select all/float/defloat.
paste into selection on the new raster layer.
add a new raster layer above the strips template layer.
flood fill with the following color: #db8e9e
on the strips template layer, select all/float/defloat/invert selection.
hit delete on the flood fill layer.
select none and hide the strips template layer.
repeat the steps with the following layers and colors:
circle and #db8e9e
circle outline and #746673
add a new raster layer below the circle outline/#746673 layer.
use your magic wand tool to select the area inside the circle outline.
expand your selection by 5.
set your foreground to #746673
and set your background to #db8e9e
use the following gradient settings:
select none.
now open the tube and get the close up tube (if you have one).
copy and paste it above the gradient circle layer.
position it to your liking.
go up to effects > image effects > black and white film.
apply it with the following settings:
brightness - 0
clarify - 0
change the blend mode to overlay and set the opacity to 50%.
now on the gradient circle, select all/float/defloat/invert selection.
hit delete on the close up tube layer.
select none.
go down to the background layer and select all.
go to image > crop to selection.
for the hearts template layer, you can use a paper or the heartandarrow element from the kit.
I resized the heartandarrow element by 30%.
now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.
don't forget to add artist credit and license info.
when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.
paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.
invert selection and crop to selection.
that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
thanks for trying my tutorial! =)
