PLUGINS
Freeware plugin DSB Flux - Linear Transmission
************************************
open the template and delete the copyright layer raster layer below the copyright layer.
its just an extra layer we don't need. :-P mistake on my part.
anywho, let's continue.
merge down circle 2 with circle 1.
add a new raster layer above the circles and select all.
open the kit to the papers folder.
open the following papers:
1, 2, 7
copy paper 2 and paste into selection on new raster layer.
(copy and paste = C/P)
now select the circles layer and float/defloat/invert selection.
hit delete on the paper2 layer. select none.
hide the circles layer.
duplicate the paper2 layer and drag the copy below the original layer.
go to plugins > dsb flux > linear transmission.
use the settings: 1, 1, 25, horizontal
duplicate the layer and use gaussian blur by 3.
now select the center rectangle layer and add a new raster layer above it.
use your magic wand to select the area inside the center rectangle.
C/P paper1 into selection on new raster layer.
hide center rectangle layer and select none.
now merge down the right rectangle with the left rectangle.
add a new raster layer above it and select all.
C/P paper7 into selection on new raster layer.
select the merged rectangles layer and float/defloat/invert selection.
hit delete on paper7 and select none.
hide the merged rectangles layer.
now add a new layer above the stripe 1 layer and select all.
C/P paper2 into selection on new raster layer and select none.
mirror and flip paper2.
select stripe 1 and float/defloat/invert selection.
hit delete on paper2 and select none.
hide stripe 1.
duplicate the stripe paper layer and drag it one layer down.
apply the same linear transmission settings from the circles layer/paper2.
now add a new layer above the stripe 2 layer and select all.
C/P paper1 into selection on new raster layer.
select stripe 2 and float/defloat/invert selection.
hit delete on paper1 and select none.
hide stripe 2.
now go back down to the background layer.
add a new raster layer above it and select all.
C/P paper1 into selection on new raster layer.
apply the mask208 with default settings.
now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.
don't forget to add artist credit and license info.
when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.
paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.
invert selection and crop to selection.
that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
thanks for trying my tutorial! =)
