Tutorial done in PSPX2.

Must having some working knowledge of the program.

open the template and delete the copyright layer.

resize the canvas size to 750px by 650px.

delete the following template layers as we will not be using them:

wordart

frame1 & 2

dotted line 1 & 2

rectangle frame

circle2

glittered circle

open up paper5 from the kit and copy.

on the working canvas, add a new raster layer above circle1.

select all and float/defloat circle1 and hide it.

on the new layer, paste into selection and select none.

repeat the steps with rectangle and paper8.

now add a new raster layer above rectangle center and fill with #f6ec8f.

select all and float/defloat rectangle center and hide it.

invert selection and hit delete on the flood fill layer.

select none.

merge rectangle 3 & 4 together.

add a new raster layer above it and select all.

open paper6, copy and paste into selection on the new layer.

now float/defloat the merged rectangles.

invert selection and hit delete the paper6 layer.

select none and hide the merged rectangles layer.

now merge the frame back with frame back2.

add a new raster layer below it.

set this color for your foreground: #aad444

and this for your background: #f6ec8f

use these settings for a gradient:

flood fill the new layer.

use your pick tool to pull the gradient in close to the merged frame back layer.

like below:

now open up the tube and copy/paste it as a new layer.

position it above the square on the left.

duplicate and mirror it.

merged the two tube layers together.

now go down to the bottom layer (background) and select all.

under image > crop to selection.

that deletes any excess tube portion outside our canvas.

select the merged frame back layer and

select all/float/defloat/invert selection.

hit delete on the tubes layer and gradient fill layer.

select none and hide the template merged frame back layer.

now click on the merged tube layer.

under effects > photo effects > black and white film

click ok.

now set the blend mode to overlay.

now copy/paste as a new layer the full body tube.

this should be on the very top of the layers.

add a drop shadow and duplicate it.

using your rectangle selection tool, make the following selection:

hit delete on the top tube layer.

invert selection and hit delete on the bottom tube layer.

select none.

now go down to the paper5 circle layer.

duplicate it and select all/float/defloat/invert selection.

delete the duplicate circle and hit delete on the bottom tube layer.

now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.

don't forget to add artist credit and license info.

if you're interested in the text on my tag sample,

I used Extrude from the Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Impact.

Use this color for your text: #f6ec8f

and use these settings (the green color is #aad444):

when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.

paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.

invert selection and crop to selection.

that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
