with all the files ready, let's get started.

delete the copyright layer, the top layer.

resize the canvas to 750px by 650px.

now delete the following layers:

star2

star1

star

Raster 2 Shadow 1

Copy of Raster 2 Shadow 1

Raster 2 Shadow 2

now merge down one layer, the following:

chrome brad and chrome brad

frame2 and frame1

frame back and frame back

Copy of Raster 2 and Raster 2

now add a new raster layer above the rectangle layer.

on the rectangle layer, select all/float/defloat.

open paper10 from the kit and copy.

paste into selection on the new raster layer.

select none and hide the rectangle layer.

repeat the previous steps with the following layers and papers:

oval and paper3

circle and paper12

frame back and paper5

now open the tube.

resize if you choose to, I didn't resize my tube.

copy and paste (C/P) as a new layer above the frameback/paper5 layer.

position the tube to the left frame.

now duplicate the tube.

mirror the tube and position it to your choosing.

merge down one layer so the tubes are 1 layer.

on the frameback template layer, select all/float/defloat/invert selection.

hit delete on the tube layer.

select none.

now go down to the background layer and select all.

crop to selection.

this deletes any excess tube portions not visible on the canvas.

one tube cropped tube layer, go up to effects > photo effects > black and white film.

apply with the following settings:

brightness - 0

clarify - 0

now change the blend mode to overlay.

now C/P as a new layer above the frame1 template layer.

resize accordingly.

I resized mine by 50%.

position the tube to the center.

add a drop shadow of your choice, just make sure your shadow is not on a new layer.

now duplicate the tube.

drag the duplicate tube layer down below the chrome circle but above the circle/paper12 layer.

now using your rectangle selection tool, make the following selection:

CLICK IMAGE FOR LARGER PREVIEW

hit delete on the top tube layer.

invert your selection and hit delete on the bottom tube layer.

select none.

now use your magic wand tool to select the area outside the circle.

hit delete on the bottom tube layer.

select none.

now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.

don't forget to add artist credit and license info.

when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.

paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.

invert selection and crop to selection.

that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
