open the template and delete the copyright layer.
we'll be working the template from the bottom up.
so hide the small circle, inner and outer rectangle layers.
add a new raster layer below the larger circle.
set your background color to #359eb1 and your background color to #fdd106.
fill the raster with the following gradient settings.
click the invert if yours is the opposite.
use your pick tool to bring the gradient in closer to the large circle.
float/defloat/invert the large circle, hide it. hit delete on your fill layer.
select none. unhide the outer rectangle layer.
add a new raster layer below it. select all.
now select paper7 from the kit.
copy and paste (C/P) it into selection on the new raster layer. select none.
use your magic wand to select the area outside the rectangle.
hide the rectangle layer, hit delete on paper7. select none.
repeat the previous steps with paper4 and the inner rectangle layer.
unhide the small circle layer.
now add a new raster layer below the small circle. select all.
open paper7 from the kit, C/Paste into selection on new layer.
select none. float/defloat/invert the small circle.
hide the small circle layer and hit delete on the paper7 layer.
hide the small circle.
now add a new raster layer above the background layer.
select all and open paper5. C/Paste into selection on the new layer.
apply the mask219 with the following settings.
right click on the layer (in the layer palette) to merge group.
now the basics are done and all you need to do is add the elements and tube!
if you open up the butterfly frame from the kit, it should fit perfectly over the small circle.
don't forget to add artist credit/license info.
when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.
paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.
invert selection and crop to selection.
that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
now if you'd like to keep going and try the elements in the text, read on.
***** OPTIONAL *****
you'll need to select a bold type face font. I'm using A&S Happy Jack.
type out your text with the color: #9bc23e.
now open any of the elements and resize them to how much you'd like to show in your tag.
I used the little chick and the rosevine elements.
place them where you want on the text.
once you're done with that, right click on the text to rasterize it.
select all/float/defloat/invert the text selection.
hit delete on the elements. select none when you're done.
if you'd like to add drop shadows to your elements (over the text),
I recommend you do it before the selection process.
and that's it! easy peasy! thanks for trying my tutorial! =)
