enchanted spring

Tutorial done in PSPX2.

Must having some working knowledge of the program.

There is no template used in this tutorial and all elements are in the kit.

To start, open a new image at 750px by 650px with a transparent background.

add a new raster layer above the background layer.

select all.

open paper2 from the kit and copy.

paste into selection on the new raster layer.

select none.

apply the mask with default settings.

right click on the mask layer to merge the mask group.

duplicate the mask layer.

on the bottom mask layer, apply a gaussian blur by 2.

merge down the top mask layer with the bottom.

open frame3 from the kit and resize by 75%.

copy and paste (C/P) as a new layer above the mask.

use your magic wand to select inside the frame and expand selection by 5.

add a new raster layer below the frame.

open paper7 from the kit and copy.

paste into selection on the new raster layer.

select none.

open the fairygirl element.

C/P at 100% below the frame, above the paper7.

position her to your liking.

use your magic wand to select the area outside the paper7.

hit delete on the fairygirl.

select none.

open frame1 from the kit.

C/P at 100% above the frame.

duplicate the frame.

hide the top frame.

resize the bottom frame1 by 50%.

pull it to the bottom right of the frame3.

unhide the top frame1 layer.

resize it by 40%.

pull it to the upper left of the frame3.

merge down so frame1 layers are one layer.

pull the frame1 layer below the paper7 layer.

now add a new raster layer below the frames.

use your magic wand tool to select the area inside the frames.

expand selection by 5.

open paper15 from the kit and copy.

paste into selection on the new raster layer.

select none.

now open 2 elements of your liking.

resize if needed and position them below the frames, above paper15.

now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.

don't forget to add artist credit and license info.

when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.

paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.

invert selection and crop to selection.

that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
