with all the files open, lets get started.
open the template and resize the canvas to 750px by 650px.
delete the following layers:
copyright
white strips 1 & 2
dotted lines 1 & 2
merge down one layer the following layers:
black circle 2 with black circle 1 AND rename black circles
square 1 with square 2 AND rename squares
circle 1 with circle 2 AND rename grey circles
black square 2 with black square 1 AND rename black squares
the steps are basically the same so we're just going to copy and paste.
open paper11 and copy.
add a new raster layer above the background layer in the working canvas.
select all and paste into selection on the new raster layer.
select none and apply the mask with default settings.
right click on the mask layer to merge the mask group.
add a new raster layer above the black squares.
on the black squares layer, select all/float/defloat.
open paper5 from the kit and copy.
paste into selection on the new raster layer.
select none and hide the black squares template layer.
repeat the steps for the following layers and papers:
grey circles and paper9
squares and paper 14
black circles and paper 6
grey strip centre and paper 2
now open the METALICFRAME element from the kit.
resize by 60%.
copy and paste (C/P) it as a new layer on the very top.
position it in the center.
open paper 5 (or the tube with background) and copy.
add a new raster layer below the frame.
use your magic wand tool to select inside the frame.
expand selection by 5.
paste into selection on the new raster layer.
now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.
don't forget to add artist credit and license info.
when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.
paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.
invert selection and crop to selection.
that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
thanks for trying my tutorial! =)
