with everything open and ready to go, let's get started. =)
open the template and delete my copyright layer.
add a new raster layer above the background layer and select all.
open paper04 and copy.
paste into selection on the new raster layer and select none.
apply the mask at default settings.
right click on the mask layer to merge the mask group.
now add a new raster layer below rectangle1 layer.
use your magic wand to click inside the rectangle1.
open paper13 and copy.
paste into selection on the new raster layer and select none.
hide the rectangle1 template layer.
add a new raster layer below rectangle2 layer and select all.
open paper04 and copy.
paste into selection on the new raster layer and select none.
use your magic wand to click outside the rectangle2.
hit delete on the paper04 and select none.
hide the rectangle2 layer.
on the oval layer, select all/float/defloat.
add a new raster layer above the oval layer.
open paper10 from the kit and copy.
paste into selection on the new raster layer.
select none and hide the oval template layer.
add a new raster layer above the strip layer and select all.
open paper04 and copy.
paste into select on the new raster layer.
select none.
now use your magic wand tool to click outside the strip.
hit delete on the paper04 layer and select none.
hide the strip template layer.
now add a new raster layer above the wordart layer.
flood fill it with #68b2a8.
on the wordart layer, select all/float/defloat/invert selection.
hit delete on the flood fill layer.
select none.
now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.
don't forget to add artist credit and license info.
when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.
paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.
invert selection and crop to selection.
that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
