Tutorial done in PSPX2.

Must having some working knowledge of the program.

with everything all set to go, let's get started.

open a new image with a transparent background at 750px by 650px.

open frame9 from the kit and resize by 70%.

copy and paste (C/P) it as a new layer on the working canvas.

now open paper12 from the kit and resize by 55%.

C/P it as a new layer below the frame9.

use your pick tool to make it rectangular.

add a new raster layer above the paper12.

use your rectangle selection tool to make the following selection:

hide the paper12 layer to see the rectangle frame better.

use the following gradient settings:

fill the selection area on the new raster layer with the gradient.

select none.

now open the tube and resize to your preference.

for my tube, I resized by 60%.

C/P it as a new layer below the frame9.

position it to your liking.

use your magic wand to select the area outside the gradient rectangle.

hit delete on the tube layer.

select none.

now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.

don't forget to add artist credit and license info.

when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.

paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.

invert selection and crop to selection.

that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
