Tutorial done in PSPX2.

with all the files ready to go, let's get started.
open a new image at 750px by 650px.
add a new a raster layer above the background layer and select all.
open paper10 from the kit and copy.
paste into selection on the new raster layer.
select none.
apply the mask at default settings.
right click on the mask layer to merge the mask group.
resize the mask layer by 85%.
now open the wood frame element and resize by 65%.
copy and paste (C/P) as a new layer.
now use your magic wand tool to select inside the frame.
expand your selection by 10.
add a new raster layer below the frame.
open paper9 and copy.
paste into selection on the raster layer.
select none.
duplicate the paper9 layer.
apply a cutout with the following settings:
V - 0
H - 0
O - 100%
B - 100.00
shadow color - #000000
fill interior - unchecked
change the blend mode of the cutout to overlay.
now use your magic wand tool to select the area outside the wood frame.
invert the selection.
add a new raster layer above the wood frame.
now open the accentframe element and copy.
paste into selection on the new raster layer.
select none.
now open the tube.
C/P as a new layer above the accent frame layer.
move the tube to the center of the frame, use my tag for placement reference.
add a slight drop shadow to the tube.
duplicate the tube and pull the copy tube down the layer palette so its below the wood frame.
now use your rectangle selection tool and make the following selection:
CLICK IMAGE FOR LARGER PREVIEW
hit delete on the bottom tube layer.
invert your selection and hit delete on the top tube layer.
now use your magic wand tool to select the area outside the wood frame.
expand your selection by 10.
hit delete on the bottom tube layer.
select none.
now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.
don't forget to add artist credit and license info.
when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.
paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.
invert selection and crop to selection.
that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
