with all the files ready to go, let's get started.
open my template and delete the copyright info layer.
add a new raster layer above the background layer and select all.
open paper3 from the pack and copy.
paste into selection on the new raster layer.
select none.
now apply the mask at default settings.
on the mask layer, right click to merge the mask group.
now add a new raster layer above the Rectangle2 template layer.
on the Rectangle2 template layer, select all/float/defloat.
open paper2 from the pack and copy.
paste into selection on the new raster layer.
select none and hide the Rectangle2 template layer.
now open the full body tube and copy and paste (C/P) as a new layer above the paper2 rectangle layer.
resize the tube to your choosing, I resized mine by 70%.
now position the tube on top of the left rectangle.
duplicate and mirror the tube, now merge the tube layers to one layer.
now go up to effects > photo effects > black and white film.
apply it with brightness and clarify both set to 0.
now change the blend mode of the tube to overlay.
go back to the Rectangle2 template layer and select all/float/defloat/invert selection.
hit delete on the tubes layer.
select none and rehide the Rectangle2 template layer.
now add a new raster layer above the Rectangle1 template layer.
on the Rectangle1 template layer, select all/float/defloat.
open paper3 from the pack and copy.
paste into selection on the new raster layer.
select none and hide the Rectangle1 template layer.
repeat the previous step with the following layers and papers:
Strip and paper4
Circle and paper5
Circle Frame and paper1
Hearts and paper5 flipped
now open the close up tube and resize to your choosing.
I resized mine by 60%.
C/P as a new layer above the Circle Frame/paper1 layer.
position it to the center, use my tag for placement reference.
now add a slight drop shadow to the tube.
duplicate the tube and pull the duplicate down the layer palette, below the Circle Frame/paper1
and above the Circle/paper5 layer.
**MAKE SURE YOUR SELECTION TOOL FEATHER SETTING IS AT 0.**
using your rectangle selection tool, make the following selection:
hit delete on the top close up tube layer.
invert your selection and hit delete on the bottom tube layer.
select none.
now on your Circle template layer, select all/float/defloat/invert selection.
hit delete on the bottom tube layer.
select none.
now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.
don't forget to add artist credit and license info.
when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.
paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.
invert selection and crop to selection.
that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
thanks for trying my tutorial! =)
