with everything ready to go, lets get started.

open the template and resize the canvas by 750px by 650px.

delete or hide the credits layer.

merge down one layer the following layers together:

(from top to bottom)

Diva right with Diva left

right stars with left stars

Right square with Left square

delete the Right Star layer.

I'll be using the layer names as they have been merged.

open the tube and copy and paste (C/P) as a new layer above the Left square merged layer.

position it above either of the squares.

duplicate and mirror the tube.

merge the tubes to one layer.

go up to effects > photo effects > black and white film.

apply it with the following settings:

brightness - 0

clarify - 0

now change the blend mode of the tubes to soft light.

now on the Left square merged layer, select all/float/defloat.

add a new raster layer above.

open paper1 from the kit and copy.

paste into selection on the new raster layer.

hide the Left square merged template layer.

invert your selection and hit delete on the merged tubes layer.

select none.

now open paper4 from the kit and copy.

paste it as a new layer above the Left star template layer.

use your mover tool to pull the paper over the star on the left.

*NOTE* the paper is too small to fit over both stars and will skew the dots if

we fill the entire canvas with the paper.

now on the Left star layer, select all/float/defloat/invert selection.

hit delete on the paper4 layer.

select none.

duplicate the paper4 star and mirror it.

now merge it down so the stars are on one layer.

hide the Left Star template layer.

now on the Black circle template layer, select all/float/defloat.

add a new raster layer above it.

open paper5 and copy.

paste into selection on the new raster layer.

select none and hide the Black circle template layer.

on the paper5 circle layer, duplicate it.

on the duplicate layer,

go up to effects > 3D effects > cutout and apply the following settings.

vertical - 0

horizontal - 0

opacity - 100%

blur - 100.00

shadow color -

fill interior color UNCHECKED

once applied, change the blend mode to BURN and change the opacity to 50%.

merge down the cutout layer with the paper5 circle layer.

now add a new raster layer above the rectangle template layer.

flood fill with the following color: #b29675

on the rectangle template layer, select all/float/defloat/invert selection.

hit delete on the flood fill layer.

select none and hide the rectangle template layer.

duplicate the flood fill rectangle layer.

on the duplicate layer, apply cutout with the following settings:

vertical - 0

horizontal - 0

opacity - 100%

blur - 40.00

shadow color -

fill interior color UNCHECKED

change the blend mode to burn and change the opacity to 75%.

merge down the cutout layer with the flood fill layer.

now open the tube and resize accordingly.

I resized mine by 70%.

C/P as a new layer above the flood fill rectangle layer.

position in the center.

now on the POPSTAR wordart layer, select all/float/defloat.

add a new raster layer above the wordart layer.

open paper1 from the kit and copy.

paste into selection on the new raster layer.

select none and hide the wordart template layer.

duplicate the paper1 wordart layer.

now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.

don't forget to add artist credit and license info.

when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.

paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.

invert selection and crop to selection.

that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.

thanks for trying my tutorial! =)
