simple beauty

Tutorial done in PSPX2.

with all your supplies/materials unzipped & ready to go,

open the following elements and resize accordingly:

blingrain - no resize

candleroses - 30%

curtain - 60%

dove - 30%

ruffledpaperframe - 60%

paper19 - 40%

open my template.

add a new raster layer above rectangle 1.

fill the new layer with the following gradient:

foreground - #116776

background - #000000

gradient settings at:

make sure the invert is NOT selected.

using your pick tool, bring the gradient in closer

so that its just outside the rectangle.

duplicate the layer and pull the duplicate above the

rectangle 2 layer. mirror the gradient layer.

hide rectangle 2 layer and the duplicate layer.

select the gradient fill above rectangle 1 and use texture effects.

choose blinds and use the following settings:

use the magic wand tool and select the area outside rectangle 1.

hide the layer and hit delete on the gradient fill layer above.

select none.

copy the blingrain element and paste it above rectangle 1 gradient fill.

pull it to the left of the frame.

duplicate and mirror it. merge down and add drop shadow.

(1,1,90,3,#000000)

use magic wand tool to select the area outside rectangle1

and hit delete on the blingrain layer. select none.

unhide rectangle 2 and float/defloat/invert.

hide rectangle 2 and unhide the gradient fill above.

hit delete and select none.

now copy/paste the curtain element and paste it under circle 1.

position it to the to the right of the circle.

duplicate the layer and mirror.

merge down so the curtains are 1 layer.

add a drop shadow (1,1,90,3,#000000).

duplicate it and pull the duplicate under rectangle 2 copy.

use your rectangle selection tool to make the following selection:

hit delete on the top curtain layer.

invert selection and hit delete on the bottom curtain layer.

select the excess area of the the bottom curtain layer and hit delete.

select none

add a new raster above circle 2 and fill with #000000.

float/defloat/invert the circle 2 layer,

hide circle 2 and hit delete on the fill layer above.

select none.

copy paper19 and paste it above circle 1 layer.

float/defloat/invert the circle 1 layer,

hide circle 1 and hit delete on the paper19 above.

select none.

copy the ruffledpaperframe and paste above circle 2 fill layer.

add the same drop shadow settings as before.

now the tube. I resized mine by 80% and pasted it under circle 2.

use your magic wand tool to select the area outside circle 2

and hit delete. select none.

add same drop shadow settings.

now just add the candleroses and dove elements.

add drop shadows and your text!

don't forget to add credit/license info for any tubes that require it.

when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.

paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.

invert selection and crop to selection.

that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
