with all the files ready to go, let's get started!
open my template and delete my copyright info layer.
add a new raster layer above the background layer.
select all.
open paper15 from the kit and copy.
paste into selection on the new raster layer.
select none.
apply the mask at default settings.
right click on the mask layer to merge the mask group.
resize the mask by 90%.
now add a new raster layer above square3 and select all.
on the square3 template layer, select all/float/defloat.
open paper7 from the kit and copy.
paste into selection on the new raster layer.
select none and hide the square3 template layer.
repeat the previous steps with the following template layers and papers:
Square2 and paper2
Square1 and paper1
for paper1, mirror the paper before copying it.
now open frame4 from the kit and resize by 70%.
copy and paste (C/P) as a new layer on top.
it should fit right over the remaining template squares.
now open the tube.
choose the closeup tube if available.
if youre using the same tube I am, resize it by 70%.
C/P it as a new layer below the frame and above the Frame Back2 template layer.
mirror the tube and add a drop shadow.
drag it over to the lower left frame.
position it to your choosing.
now open paper7 from the kit and copy.
on the Frame Back2 template layer, select all/float/defloat.
add a new raster layer above the Frame Back2 template layer.
paste into selection on the new raster layer.
invert your selection and hit delete on the tube layer.
select none and hide the Frame Back2 template layer.
repeat the previous steps for the Frame Back1 template layer and close up tube.
for this step, dont resize and dont mirror the tube.
use paper7 as well.
now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.
don't forget to add artist credit and license info.
when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.
paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.
invert selection and crop to selection.
that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
thanks for trying my tutorial! =)
