pixie dust

Tutorial done in PSPX2.

Must having some working knowledge of the program.

for PSP9 and older, download the PSD template HERE.

open the template and add a new raster layer above the bottom white layer.

select all.

open paper9 and copy.

paste into selection on new layer in working canvas.

select none.

apply the mask at default settings.

right click on the mask layer to merge mask group.

now add a new raster layer above the half circle layer.

select all.

open paper1 from the kit and copy.

paste into selection on new layer in working canvas.

click on the half circle and float/defloat/invert selection.

hit delete on the paper1 layer.

select none and hide the half circle template layer.

repeat the steps with the following papers and template layers:

half circle dots layer and paper4.

rectangle and paper6.

open frame1 from the kit and resize by 80%.

copy and paste (C/P) as a new layer above paper6 layer.

now open the tink 2 tube, C/P as a new layer at 100%.

use your eraser tool to remove the artist copyright.

duplicate the tube and float/defloat.

delete the duplicate.

add a new raster layer below the tink tube and add a drop shadow on that layer.

hit delete once on the drop shadow layer and select none.

that should maintain some transparency if not all.

now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.

don't forget to add artist credit and license info.

when you're all done, copy special > copy merged. 

paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag. 

invert selection and crop to selection. 

that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
