with everything open and ready to go, let's get started.
open the template and delete the copyright layer.
resize the canvas size to 750px by 650px.
open frame4 from the kit and resize by 70%.
copy and paste (C/P) it as a new layer above the background layer.
add a new raster layer below the frame.
in your color palette, set the following colors:
foreground - #04669e
background - #0e91c4
use the following gradient settings:
flood fill the new raster layer with the gradient.
use your pick tool to pull horizontally the gradient fill layer closer to the frame.

its okay if you have some gradient overlapping the top and bottom of the frame.
use your magic wand tool to select inside each of the 3 frames.
expand your selection by 3 and invert.
hit delete on the gradient layer and select none.
now open your tube.
select the full body tube and C/P as a new layer above the gradient layer.
pull it to the left frame.
go up to effects > photo effects > black and white film.
apply it with brightness and clarify settings both at 0.
duplicate the tube and mirror it.
merge down so they are one layer.
change the blend mode for the tube to overlay.
use your magic wand tool to select the area outside the gradient layer.
hit delete on the overlay tube.
select none.
now open the stars element and C/P at 100% above the frame layer.
now open 2 papers from the kit.
C/P the 1st paper above the strip2 layer.
use your magic wand tool to select the area outside the strip.
hit delete on the first paper and hide the strip2 template layer.
select none.
repeat the steps for the 2nd paper and strip1.
now go down to the background layer and select all.
image > crop to selection.
that gets rid of any excess paper that isn't visible on the canvas.
now open the discoball element and resize by 70%.
C/P it as a new layer above the large circle template layer.
hide the large circle template layer.
duplicate the discoball and resize the duplicate by 80%.
mirror the duplicate.
drag it so it sits above the small circle.
hide the small circle.
in the layer palette, drag the smaller discoball down so its above the small circle.
open a new paper and C/P it as a new layer above the shapes layer.
use your magic wand to select the area outside the shapes.
hit delete on the paper and hide the shapes template layer.
select none.
now go down to the background layer and select all.
image > crop to selection.
again, that gets rid of any excess paper that isn't visible on the canvas
now for the closeups of the tube.
C/P it your tube at 100% (if you choose) on the very top layer.
duplicate it twice so you have a total of 3 tube layers.
hide the top 2 tube layers.
now pull the visible tube down, above the back2 layer and below the frame2 layer.
you should have something like below:

now use your magic wand tool to select the area outside the back2.
expand selection by 3.
hit delete on the visible tube layer.
select none.
repeat the steps for the other 2 tubes and frame1/back1 and frame3/back3.
mirror the tube if you choose for at least one frame.
now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.
don't forget to add artist credit and license info.
when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.
paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.
invert selection and crop to selection.
that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
thanks for trying my tutorial! =)
