with all the files ready to go, let's get started!
open my template and delete the copyright info layer.

add a new raster layer above the background layer.
select all.
open paper9 from the kit and copy.
paste into selection on the new raster layer.
select none.
apply the mask at default settings.
right click on the mask layer to merge the mask group.
duplicate the mask layer.
on the duplicate layer, pull it below the first mask layer.
apply a gaussian blur to the duplicate mask layer by 3.
merge the mask layers together.

now add a new raster layer above the Square template layer.
on the Square template layer, select all/float/defloat.
open paper10 from the kit and copy.
paste into selection on the new raster layer.
select none and hide the Square template layer.
now duplicate the paper10/square.
apply a cutout to the duplicate with the following settings:
V - 0
H - 0
O - 100%
B - 100.00
shadow color - #000000
fill interior - unchecked

now change the blend mode for the cutout to overlay.

now repeat the previous step with the following layers and papers:
Circle3 and paper4
Circle2 and paper12
Circle1 and paper5
Circle Border and paper2
Rectangle and paper12

now open ele28 from the kit and resize by 80%.
copy and paste (C/P) as a new layer on top.
now open the close up tube and copy at 100%.
position it to your choosing.
on the Rectangle template layer, select all/float/defloat/invert selection.
hit delete on the close up tube.
select none.
now change the blend mode of the close up tube to overlay.

now go down to the background layer and select all.
crop to selection.
this deletes any excess portions of the tube not visible on the canvas.

now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.
don't forget to add artist credit and license info.

when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.
paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.
invert selection and crop to selection.
that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.

thanks for trying my tutorial! =)
