open the template and add a new raster layer above the background layer.

select all.

open paper3 from the kit and copy.

paste into selection on the new raster layer and select none.

apply the mask with default settings to paper3.

right click on the mask layer to merge the mask group.

now add a new raster layer above circle1 and select all.

open paper4 from the kit and copy.

paste into selection on new raster layer.

do not deselect, instead click on the circle1 in the layer palette.

float/defloat/invert selection and hit delete on the paper4.

select none and hide circle1.

repeat the steps with the following:

circle2 and paper2

circle3 and paper1

now open frame2 from the kit and resize by 80%.

copy and paste (C/P) it as a new layer on the very top.

use your rectangle selection tool to make the following selection:

add a new raster layer below frame2.

open paper4 and copy.

paste into selection on new raster layer.

select none.

now open the tube and copy CloseUp2 No Wings.

paste it as a new layer above the paper4 layer.

resize the tube by 80%.

duplicate the tube.

on the duplicate, go to effects > photo effects > black and white film.

apply the black and white to the duplicate.

change the blend mode to soft light.

go to adjust > blur > gaussian blur and blur by 2.

now that all the basics are done, add any elements, text and tubes.

don't forget to add artist credit and license info.

when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.

paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.

invert selection and crop to selection.

that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.

thanks for trying my tutorial! =)
