with everything ready, let's get started!
open my template and delete my copyright info layer.
add a new raster layer above the background layer and flood fill layer with #000000.
apply the mask at default settings.
right click on the mask layer to merge the mask group.
now resize the mask by 90%.
still on the mask, add noise with gaussian at 50% with monochrome checked.
now add a new raster layer above the Large Circle template layer.
set the following colors into your color palette:
foreground - #000000
background - #a08957
now set the foreground with the following gradient settings:
texture is unchecked.
on the Large Circle template layer, select all/float/defloat.
on the new raster layer, flood fill with the gradient.
select none and hide the Large Circle template layer.
now on the Large Circle Border layer, apply the same noise settings as before.
now on the Small Circle template layer, duplicate the layer.
apply a cutout to the duplicate layer with the following settings:
V - 0
H - 0
O - 100%
B - 100.00
shadow color - #000000
fill interior - unchecked
now open the close up tube.
copy and paste (C/P) at 100% on the very top layer.
duplicate the tube and hide the top tube layer.
on the bottom tube layer, mirror it.
now go to effects > photo effects > black and white film.
apply it with brightness and clarify both set to 0.
now on the layer palette, drag the black and white tube down below the cutout but on top
of the Small Circle.
still on the black and white tube, apply the cybia - screen works with the following:
on the Small Circle template layer, select all/float/defloat/invert selection.
hit delete on the tube.
select none.
for the Stars template layer, apply the noise with the previous settings.
now add a new raster layer above the Top Strip template layer.
on the Top Strip template layer, select all/float/defloat.
use the same gradient setting as before to flood fill inside the strip.
select none.
repeat the step with the Top Strip Border but instead of the gradient, use #000000.
after thats done, apply the previous noise settings to the strip border.
now hide the Bottom Strip Border and Bottom Strip template layers.
go back up the layer palette and "unhide" the tube layer.
drag the tube down the layer palette so its above the black Top Strip Border but below the
Bottom Strip template layer.
apply a drop shadow here.
duplicate the tube.
drag the duplicate tube further down the layer palette so its just below the Large Circle Border.
use your rectangle selection tool to make the following selection:
hit delete on the top tube layer.
invert selection and hit delete on the bottom tube layer.
select none.
now use your magic wand tool to select the area OUTSIDE the Large Circle template layer.
hit delete on the bottom tube layer.
select none.
now "unhide" the Bottom Strip Border and Bottom Strip template layers.
repeat the steps we used for the Top Strip Border and Top Strip layers.
now open the full body tube and C/P at 100% as a new layer on top.
move the tube so it sits over the text of the gradient strip.
use my tag for placement reference, it just makes the text more visible.
now apply the cybia - screen works - dot screen with the same settings as before.
duplicate the tube and hide the copy.
on the visible tube layer, pull it down the layer palette so its on top of the top gradient strip but below
the black strip border.
use your magic wand tool to select the area OUTSIDE the top gradient strip.
hit delete on the tube.
select none.
now "unhide" the other full body tube.
mirror the tube and use my tag for placement reference.
drag the tube down so it is above the bottom gradient strip but below the black bottom strip border.
use your magic wand tool to select the area OUTSIDE the bottom gradient strip.
hit delete on the tube.
select none.
you can repeat the steps to include other parts of the tube to show on top of the gradient strips.
now go down to the background layer and select all.
crop to selection.
this gets rid of any excess portions of the tubes not visible on the canvas.
OPTIONAL - ANIMATION
if you'd like to animate the tag, you can keep going but you can stop here if you don't want to.
now add any text and tube artist copyright info or license here.
once that is done, do the following:
duplicate the large circle gradient so you have a total of 3 layers.
do the same for both the top and bottom gradient stips.
rename the top layers of all three gradients to 1.
and the middle gradients to 2.
and the bottom gradients to 3.
let's start with the circle gradient 1.
apply the xero - soft vignette with the following settings:
apply the same settings to the other gradient 1 layers.
now hide all three gradient 1 layers.
use the same settings of soft vignette to the circle gradient 2 layer only change the REPEATS to 98.
apply the same settings to the other gradient 2 layers.
hide all three gradient 2 layers.
repeat the steps for the remaining gradient layers and change the REPEATS to 100.
now go up to image > canvas size and change the canvas size to 675px by 577px.
now you should have the gradient 3 layers showing.
go up to edit > copy special > copy merged.
open animation shop and paste as animation.
go back to PSP and hide the gradient 3 layers and "unhide" the gradient 2 layers and copy merged again.
back in animation shop, go to edit > paste > paste before current frame.
repeat the steps for the last gradient layers and animation shop.
in animation shop, you should have 3 frames.
click on the first frame and select all (Ctrl A).
now the frames are set to 10 frames per second.
you can increase it to make it slower or lower the number to make it faster.
for this tutorial, we will stay at 10.
now use your optimization wizard to optimize the image so it wont be grainy.
if you dont have those settings, I've posted another tutorial HERE that takes you through it.
thanks for trying my tutorial! =)
