spooky greetings

Tutorial done in PSPX2.

Must having some working knowledge of the program.

open the supplies and install the brush.

now open a new transparent image at 750px by 650px.

open the roundedrectangle from the supplies.

copy and paste (C/P) it as a new layer.

add a new raster layer above the rectangle.

set your foreground to #0f0f25.

use the following gradient settings to flood fill the new raster layer.

now your use your pick tool to pull the gradient down from the top and up from the bottom.

use the following image to see just how far down/up to pull it:

*do not crop the gradient layer just yet.*

set your foreground to #ffff41.

add a new raster layer above the gradient for the starcluster brush.

use your starcluster brush to place the stars where you want against the background.

now open the moon from the supplies.

C/P it at 100% as a new layer above the brush layer.

now add a new raster layer above the moon.

now use your magic wand to click the area on the bottom of the gradient layer.

fill that area with #000000.

select none.

open the spookyhouse from the supplies.

C/P it at 100% as a new layer above the moon.

position the house to the right.

now click on the roundedrectangle and duplicate it.

on the duplicate, select all/float/defloat/invert selection.

delete the duplicate rectangle layer.

hit delete on the gradient layer, starcluster brush layer and the #000000 fill layer.

select none.

and now you can add the headstone and ghost as well as any other tube and text.

don't forget to add artist credit and license info.

when you're all done, copy special > copy merged.

paste as a new image and use your magic wand tool to select outside the tag.

invert selection and crop to selection.

that will get rid of any extra space that you don't need.
