Jalapeno Marinade

3 Tbsp. Soy Sauce

2 Tbsp. Vinegar

Zest of one Lime

2 Tbsp. Lime Juice

2 Tbsp. Olive Oil

1/2 Cup Cilantro

3-4 Cloves of Garlic

1 Jalapeno

Pinch of Salt

1 Tsp. Cumin

1 Tsp. Oregano

1/2 Tsp. Freshly Ground Black Pepper

1/2 Tsp. Onion Powder

1 1/2 lbs. Skirt Steak or (Thinly sliced chicken breast or shrimp.)

Combine all of the ingredients for the marinade in a food processer or a blender, and blend until they are well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning to your liking.

Marinade the steak for a minimum of 4 hours. If you are using chicken or shrimp only marinate them for 2 hours. Remove them from the fridge 30 minutes prior to grilling.

Pre-heat your grill or grill pan.

Remove the steaks from the marinade and grill 5-8 minutes on each side. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes.

In a small pot add in the marinade and bring to a boil, this will insure any bacteria in the marinade is killed off. Serve along side the skirt steak so anyone can top with additional sauce if they want to.

Serve and enjoy.
