Chili Lime Wings

3 lbs. Chicken Wings

1 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour

2 Tsp. Salt

1 Tsp. Freshly Ground Black Pepper

1 Tsp. Garlic Powder

1 Tsp. Onion Powder

1 Tsp. Paprika

1 Tbsp. Chili Powder

Zest of 1 Lime

Vegetable Oil

Chili Lime Sauce

4 Tbsp. Butter

2 Limes, juiced and zest of 1 lime

Salt

Freshly Ground Black Pepper

1 Tsp. Chili Powder

1/2 Cup Franks Red Hot Sauce

1/4 Cup Cilantro, for garnish

In a large bowl combine the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika, lime zest. Stir until well combined.

In a Dutch oven bring the oil to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Dredge the wings one at a time making sure they are fully coated in the flour mixture. Shake to remove any excess flour.

Add about 7-8 wings into the oil at one time. Fry for 10-13 minutes. Or until fully cooked through.

While the wings are frying make your sauce. In a pan, add the butter, lime zest and juice, chili powder, franks red hot sauce, a pinch of salt and pepper and bring to a simmer. Making sure to keep stirring. Remove from heat after 6-7 minutes.

Once the wings are done frying toss them in the sauce let any excess sauce fall off. Put the wings on a serving platter, top with cilantro, and serve with slices of lime, blue cheese dressing, and any extra wing sauce for dipping.
