Adjetivos Participios
interested - interesting; bored - boring
Los adjetivos participios se forman mediante el uso de verbos en participio, ya sea con terminación "ed" o "ing" (según sea la característica que se requiera resaltar para señalar un aspecto momentáneo con la terminación “ed” o permanente con “ing”): alarmed (alarmado), alarming (alarmante), annoyed (irritado), annoying (irritante), bored (aburrido), boring (aburridor), confused (confundido), confusing (confuse), depressing (deprimente), exciting (excitante), frustrated (frustrado), frustrating (frustrante), interested (interesado), interesting (interesante), surprised (sorprendido), surprising (sorprendente), tired (cansado), tiring (cansador), worried (preocupado), worrying (preocupante).
Los intensificadores de adjetivos son ciertos adverbios que tienen utilidad para resaltar el significado de los adjetivos, por ejemplo: very, too, rather, fairly, so, such, quite (bastante, completamente), pretty (bastante), fairly (bastante), somewhat (algo; un tanto), rather (bastante; algo, un poco), a little (un poco), such (tal / tales / tan).
Comparativos y Superlativos:
En inglés cuando se comparan dos cosas esta acción se describe utilizando los adjetivos y éstos pueden ser empleados en alguno de sus tres grados: positivo, comparativo y superlativo.
