As related in the Sphiod's Epistle (§14), annexed to the Paladasty, When Dinax arrived at the island of Tergine, a thief took his dagger from him, and he died for it. The thief was Scaldridus, the son of Laercad, the king of the island, and his body was found by his sister, Nausia. Then the king arrested Circchirious, one of Dinax's companions, and, after three days in the dungeon, the king announced that, if his son's murderer did not appear at his court, Circchirious would be killed.
