NOUNS, ADJECTIVES, PRONOUNS AND VERBS
In the Ilmesc-Oughreth languages the one that declines is the noun syntagme itself, so the last element of this is the one that takes the case endings. This has the consequence that in Ilmesc the noun and the adjective come together, giving rise to phonological processes between the end of the nominal stem and the beginning of the adjectival stem. For example:
*[kwo akʰaɾ-m(a)] ("good dog")
Oughreth:
kwo aχarma
Ilmesc
qoigarm (*qo egar)
Deryoun
go eǰaln
