NOUNS AND ADJECTIVES
The nominal inflection of Stosrithe is common to all nouns and adjectives and developed from the u declension of Jedus. All nouns decline from their old singular absolutive form (vowel-bearing nouns elide the latter and take the endings in the rest of the numbers). The ergative (with the suffix -ieu) and absolutive in the construct state (with the suffix -y) have only one form, while the absolutive has a singular and a plural form (with the suffix -ɘ). Regarding gender, it only manifests itself in the absolutive and neuter nouns ending in a vowel receive the suffix -st in the absolutive and neuter nouns ending in a consonant receive the suffix -n̩ in the singular and -st in the plural. For example, the animated noun æwie ("river"; æwieɘ abs. pl., æwiey const., æwieieu erg.), the neuter noun akgost ("sadness"; akgɘst abs. pl., akgy const., akgieu erg.) and the neuter noun æstazn̩ ("city"; æstazɘst abs. pl., æstazy const., æstazieu erg.).
