RHS Principal, Jeff Nyhuis and wife, Amy Geller Nyhuis, welcome Willie Geist (RHS '93), co-anchor of MSNBC's Morning Joe and anchor of Sunday Today with Willie Geist to RHS's Alumni Weekend.

RHS ALUMNI WEEKEND

This past weekend, the Ridgewood High School Alumni Association (RHSAA) hosted its second-ever Homecoming Weekend.  Five different classes ('81, '90, "91, '96 and '00) celebrated their own Saturday night reunion parties throughout the Ridgewood area.

The three-day celebration featured a "Friday Night Lights" football game, a Saturday front lawn party with a live band and school tours with an afternoon "Chalk Talk" hosted by Willie Geist (RHS '93) and his former teammates and coaches from the 1991 State Championship football team.  The weekend ended with a Sunday morning inspirational talk and yoga session with Jim Stroker (RHS '70).

Speech and Debate Club

The RHS Speech and Debate Club is kicking off the school year with in-person meetings on Thursdays!

RHS Pizza Club

On Friday, October 8th, the RHS Pizza Club held their first in-person pizza tasting since the pandemic began.  The clubs' never-ending quest to find the best pizza Bergen County has to offer began with a local institution, Renato's Pizzeria.  The club samples a plain slice and a speciality slice from a different pizzeria each month.  They use a rubric to rate the pizza and award best plain and best specialty pizza at the end of the year.  If you are interested in joining the club, see Club Advisor, Mr. Lynaugh, in Room 204 during Period 9 for more information.

Project Interact

Project Interact gets ready to send off their annual contribution to the USO Holiday fund.  Assistant Principal, Dave Bailey, along with club members,  take a picture before mailing the check.
