The Bergen County Teen Arts Festival at Bergen Community College on May 29th was a tremendous success, providing students with an exciting opportunity to showcase their talents, learn from professionals, and connect with fellow young artists from across the county. Our students proudly participated in Theatre, Creative Writing, and Visual Arts, representing our school with creativity and enthusiasm. A special congratulations goes to Jimin Chun grade 10 from Studio 2, whose artwork, "Juggling Frogs," was selected for the County Show—an outstanding achievement that reflects both talent and dedication. Throughout the day, students attended engaging workshops, explored new artistic techniques, and shared their creative work in a supportive and inspiring environment. It was a rewarding educational experience that celebrated the arts and highlighted the incredible abilities of our students.
Students from the Spanish classes of Sra. Cuellar, Sra. Purriños and Sra. Rotella participated in the National Spanish Exam offered by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish & Portuguese.
With a rich history dating back to 1957, the National Spanish Exam (NSE) is administered annually from grades 6 through 12 and serves as a cornerstone of academic achievement in Spanish language education. As the largest of their kind in the United States, the NSE attracted over 83,000 student participants in 2026. RHS students earned a total of 25 medals: 1 gold, 10 silver, and 14 bronze. Congratulations to all the RHS students who placed!
