Welcome Back RHS Staff!

 The entire Ridgewood Public Schools Staff was reunited at Convocation on Thursday, August 31st at BFMS! The staff was introduced to Mr. Mark Schwarz (our new Superintendent) and treated to a hilarious performance from the New Players Club. Some new and tenured staff were recognized, as were the winners of this year's Tradition of Excellence and Ashby Awards. Convocation is always a great way to kick off a new school year!

Later Start Initiative at RHS

 As you're aware, big changes were made to the RHS school schedule this year! Ridgewood now joins the likes of other school districts in New Jersey ( like Millburn, Tenafly, Princeton, and Chatham) that are following the science that shows the positive effects on students when school start times are pushed back. Mr. Nyhuis was interviewed by News 12 New Jersey (and several other news outlets) recently to discuss the Later Start Initiative here at Ridgewood High School! Annual RHS Club Fair 

 RHS held it's Annual Club Fair this afternoon to welcome back students and staff to the 2023-24 school year! The Club Fair is a great opportunity for students to get information about the 120+ clubs our school has to offer and sign up to participate! This year featured a variety of food trucks (featuring favorites like The Empanada Guy, Kona Ice, Kimchi Smoke, Park Wood Deli, etc.) and music played by DJ Ric! 

RHS Football Home Opener- Tonight! 

The Maroons started off the 2023 season with a 21-7 win over Hackensack on September 2nd! Tonight is their home opener here in Ridgewood against Clifton High School.  The RHS Marching Band will be conducting a pre-game concert at 5:45pm, so arrive early! Ridgewood Girls Flag Football

The RHS Flag Football team won the 2023 Girls (New Jersey) Flag Championship last year and as a result will be featured in an upcoming segment with Good Morning America. Congratulations to the team for all of their success so far! Stay tuned, as we will be sure to post the GMA coverage once it airs!
