Mr. Seavers's AP Psychology class put their knowledge of neural transmission into action today. After assembling their neurons, they created a neural pathway across the front of the classroom and used bottle caps
to replicate neurotransmitters moving across the synaptic gap. The class also acted out
additional concepts related to neural transmission.

Students Hunt for Invasive Asian Clams
Mr. Luo's AP Environmental Science students normally use pond snails in a nutrient cycle lab. When the shipment of
snails didn't arrive on time, however, the class had to get creative. Students donned waders and went into
the Hohokus Brook to look for a substitute aquatic organism: Asian Clams. Asian clams are an invasive species
whose filter feeding competes with native species and releases excessive levels of phosphorus. The weather was
perfect, waterways were improved, and everyone had a great time!

Latin Honor Society has been working to provide support and fun for all Latin students. So far this fall we have: matched underclassmen with mentors, played cognate Cerberus, had several study sessions, designed mini mosaics, played a Blooket history face-off, made memes and created custom buttons. If you are interested in participating in weekly Latin lunches, email Magistra Mason (amason@rpsnj.us).

RHS Yearbook students are hard at work capturing memories, designing pages, taking photos,
and learning the business side of producing a yearbook. Every page is a team effort!
As students continue creating the Class of 2027 yearbook, senior families can be part of it too by purchasing
a Senior Ad and creating a special message their senior will treasure for years to come.
Our yearbook students need your support . . . please help us spread the word about Senior Ads!
A Senior Ad is a personal space in the yearbook where families can include
childhood and/or current photos with a congratulatory message.
Attention Parents/Guardians: The final day to order a senior ad is Friday, October 23rd.
Visit www.yearbookordercenter.com for ordering instructions and more information.
Seniors only: School code 5786
