Senior Awards Ceremony 2023

On Thursday June 8th, 212 RHS seniors were recognized for their academic and athletic accomplishments at the Senior Awards Ceremony! There were 129 award categories and 461 awards given out in total this year. The recipients were recognized by name in the Campus Center and were able to meet the members of the scholarship and award committees at the reception afterwards in Gym 1.  We are grateful for the award and scholarship committees for their generosity and hard work in choosing this year's recipients and wish all of the RHS seniors the best of luck in their future endeavours!

Incheon High School Visit from South Korea

Nearly 100 students and administrators from Incheon High School in South Korea visited RHS on Thursday for presentations and performances. The group was welcomed by County Superintendent Louis DeLisio, Interim Superintendent Dr. Leonard Fitts, and our own administrative team. Bravo to the RHS STEM students and student ambassadors for a wonderful welcome!

Styrofoam Recycling at RHS

Due to the air quality alerts that plagued most of the state of New Jersey this week as a result of the Canadian wildfires, many teachers at RHS took the opportunity to set up air purifiers that were recently delivered in their classrooms. With all of those boxes came a lot of styrofoam! Mr. Luo, his Biology students, and the Green Club took it upon themselves to figure out a way to dispose of it in an eco-friendly way! With the help of the Wellness Department, all of the styrofoam was transported to the Ridgewood Recycling Center in order to minimize the impact on the environment. Great work!

ASL Scavenger Hunt

The ASL 1 class is wrapping up the year with a scavenger hunt. Students recently learned coursework and school vocabulary. Their task this week was to make it to 10 successful locations around RHS by scanning a QR code. This QR code opened a video of a Deaf women instructing them in sign language to their next location. Groups who made it to each of the 10 locations in the correct order, won a prize! Feel free to scan a code if you see one around the building and watch what the students have learned this year!
