In the Classroom
Latin Program
The Ridgewood High School Latin program recently returned victorious from the New Jersey Junior Classical League state convention! The students collectively earned 54 awards of 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in state level competition in a variety of fields.
French 5 Honors
Students in Mme Polk’s French 5H class recently culminated their study of la gastronomie française by participating in the annual French cheese tasting! Seven different cheeses, along with grapes and French baguette, were sampled. With between 250 to 1,000 different kinds of cheeses in France (number varies depending on the source), it’s hard to pick just a few. The students sampled Brie, Camembert, Port Salut, Comté, Gruyère, Chèvre, and Roquefort. The favorites among the group were Brie, Gruyère and Comté while the least favorite (not too surprisingly) was the Roquefort.

RHS Recording Studio
The RHS TV Club and RHS Recording Studio are excited to release the FIFTH episode of our new series, In the Studio, featuring Mason Wu. Mason Wu is a senior at RHS in the Music Production classes and a part of the RHS Recording Studio. As a famous producer, he is best known for co-producing Polo G’s hit “No Return” featuring The Kid LAROI and Lil Durk off the Chicago rapper’s third studio album, Hall of Fame. He has also notably worked with Roddy Ricch (with a song performed on the Grammys!), Hotboii, Yeat, Dro Kenji, TyFontaine, and Lil Gotit, among others. He is signed to Internet Money Records under A&R and manager Josh Hall.
Based off of the popular "Tiny Desk Concert" series by NPR, the goal of the In the Studio series is to feature the variety of musicians and ensembles at Ridgewood HS in all genres of music. Both the TV Club and Recording Studio Club worked behind the scenes to produce this show and are excited to share it with the RHS community. The new television equipment, purchased through the Duffield STEAM Initiative, was utilized during the shoot! New camera angles, HD video and seamless communication between audio and video!
