Ridgewood Junior Recites Names at 9/11 Memorial

Ridgewood High School Junior, Bridget McCarthy, was at Ground Zero for the 9/11 Memorial where she was one of the family members chosen to recite the names of a number of men and women who lost their lives that day, including that of her grandfather, Emiric Harvey. She was equally excited as she was nervous. Bridget was excited to represent her grandfather, while being nervous at getting emotional. The scope of the mass devastation and loss of life made a huge impact on her. 

Yearbook Goes Beyond the Classroom

Last week, our Ridgewood High School Yearbook Class and Club took their learning beyond the classroom and into our community! Students visited local businesses to promote yearbook sales and invite businesses to support
our students by purchasing advertisements in this year’s yearbook.

Our yearbook students have been incredibly dedicated and professional throughout the year. They are learning that creating a yearbook involves so much more than designing pages and taking photographs. Through this experience,
they are gaining valuable real-world skills in business, marketing, advertising, communication,
photography, graphic design, teamwork, organization, and meeting deadlines.

We are extremely proud of the commitment they are showing to creating a yearbook that represents
the entire RHS community and captures the memories that make this school year special.

Now, they need your support! Please help us spread the word about yearbook sales, senior ads,
and business advertisements. Every purchase helps support our students’ hard work and
contributes to creating a memorable yearbook for our entire school community.

Attention Parents/Guardians:  The final day to order a senior ad is Friday, October 23rd.

Join the RHS World Support Alliance Club

The RHS World Support Alliance (RHSWSA) is a student-led organization where students can make a difference while gaining real experience. Members can earn volunteer hours, help plan and run events, support fundraisers, and get involved in projects that give back to our community and children around the world. Whether you want to volunteer,
take on a leadership role, or simply get involved, there’s a place for you at RHSWSA.
