In the Classroom
The CPM II class recently had the opportunity to visit Fertility Institute of NJ & NY as part of the Career Pathways in Medicine program. The trip provided insight into reproductive health, medical careers, and the science behind assisted reproductive technologies. The clinic staff provided an overview of fertility medicine, explaining common reproductive challenges and the role
of specialists such as reproductive endocrinologists, embryologists, nurses, and physician's assistants.
Students also observed the laboratory, examined cells under microscopes, and learned about cryopreservation (egg, sperm, and embryo freezing).
Students are participating in Community Based Programming where they are learning
to order a meal, sit appropriately in a restaurant, and pay for their bill.

Club Happenings
A remarkable achievement was celebrated as twelve dedicated teams from the Applied Engineering Club advanced to the 2025 NJSTEAM Tank Regional competition. These teams are participating in rigorous mentor sessions, engaging with subject matter experts who provide invaluable guidance and insights. The students took this advice to heart, diligently refining their projects and strategies to prepare for the upcoming NJSTEAM Tank and Thomas Edison Pitch Contest competitions.
Recently, Team ViriTec achieved an impressive milestone after winning the 2024 NJSTEAM Tank. This accomplishment has qualified them for participation in the prestigious National Academy of Inventors Genspiration Prize competition. With the chance to present and potentially patent their AI-powered automatic plant-care watering system at a national level, sophomores Cheng ze Liang and Kaan Parlak are poised to make an impact in the field of agricultural technology.
In addition to preparing for these contests, all teams are excited to showcase their creativity and passion
for invention at the Super Science event, scheduled for Saturday, March 1st, at RHS.
This event will allow them to share their hard work and inspire others with inventive ideas.
