Students are learning the fundamental steps of processing a crime scene. The students set up their own crime scenes and photographed them.
On 10/9 Nano Day, Labowsky chemistry Honors students were thrilled to have Dr. Ilka Arslan, the director of the Center for Nanoscale Materials and the Nanoscience and Technology division at Argonne National Laboratory, Chicago, (https://cnm.anl.gov/) visit via Zoom. Dr. Arslan shared her expertise on the fascinating field of nanotechnology that is shaping the future. She also held Q&A session and discussion on nano related careers and applications.
The students were captivated by Dr. Arslan's insights into the world of nanoscience and how it can be applied to chemistry at the atomic level as they are learning the atomic theory. This visit was an excellent way for the Chemistry Honors class to celebrate Nano Day and deepen their understanding of this cutting-edge scientific discipline.

Project Interact has been busy volunteering at various events in town. At the end of September, members helped set up luminaries for the Gold Star Families event held in Van Neste Square in Ridgewood. This event honors local families that have lost someone in service to our country. Project Interact is proud to announce our member of the month, Bo Polk. Each month a student is recognized for outstanding service to the group. Congratulations, Bo!
