This week, our Forensic Science students stepped into the role of real investigators as they performed a mock autopsy on rats. 🧪🔍 From determining whether the cause of death was a stab wound or a shot to the heart, students carefully examined the evidence and worked to solve the mystery. It was a hands-on experience full of critical thinking, teamwork, and a little bit of detective work!
Earlier this year NAHS students work on a very inspiring project called "The Memory Project, where they drew and painted portraits of Cambodian Orphans.
The portraits and identity art were just delivered to the children in Cambodia, and we hope you will enjoy the video below!
As you'll see right at the start, the kids live in an area that is extremely high in financial poverty. The area is organized around a huge garbage dump that was closed years ago, but many people still earn money by picking and sorting items from the trash. However, as you will also see very quickly, the kids have a wealth of social connections and a strong sense of community. They were completely overjoyed to receive the gifts you created for them, and they cheered wholeheartedly for each of their friends. At times, they were nearly bouncing off the walls. The time, care, and attention you gave to them through this artwork made them feel very special and important, and their smiles will show you how deeply they were touched.
